A Taste of the Yucatán Afternoon Tea

Once a year, I like to enjoy a solo trip to rejuvenate, gather my thoughts, visualize, and dream. Last winter, I spent five days at Villa Tortugas in Akumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico which is owned by my friends, Dan Robertson and his wife Cecilia, who also own The Tea House that supplies much of our tea. Dan is a Tea Master and Tea Wizard, while Cecilia is a wonderful Host and Hotelier. Exploring the beaches and using local shared transportation, known as the Colectivo, was a joy with Cecilia. She introduced me to Probadita, a delightful restaurant run by Chef Adela in her home. The beautiful meal, so lovingly prepared, served as the inspiration for our Taste of the Yucatán Afternoon Tea!

Pinecone Cottage Weekend Afternoon Tea and Teatorial Policy
Pinecone Cottage is now taking reservations for Weekend Afternoon Tea and Teatorials on our website. For Weekend Afternoon Tea or Teatorials, using the reservations tab, make a date and time selection, to conveniently purchase your tickets through your PayPal account or as a PayPal guest. Please call 630.963.9130 for Weekday Afternoon Tea reservations.

Please register and pay for Teatorials one week in advance to help ensure it will be held as scheduled. Your registration is a commitment to attend, and fees are non-refundable. A minimum of four guests is required (not four in your party) in order to offer Teatorials and cancellations must be made at least five days prior to receiving credit for a future event, no exceptions. If you are unable to meet the cancellation deadline, you are welcome to send someone in your place. If Pinecone Cottage cancels the Teatorial, you will receive a full refund.
