During last year’s summer vacation and research trip, we visited The Brass Pineapple Inn in Charleston, West Virginia. Situated in the serene historic district of Charleston, this charming and luxurious inn, constructed in 1910 by real estate developer E.C. Bauer and his wife, boasts architectural features reminiscent of Europe and is listed on the National Historical Register. Guests at the inn can enjoy Afternoon Tea with a beautiful selection of savory hors d’oeuvres and sweets. The Innkeeper, Lisa, prepared a special meal for Paul and me, tailored to our quest for new offerings at Pinecone Cottage and also caters to vegan and gluten free preferences as part of its menu. It was truly a wonderful, calm, and peaceful afternoon filled with conversation about tea, travel, and food. Enjoy this menu inspired by that lovely afternoon!

Pinecone Cottage is now taking reservations for Weekend Afternoon Tea and Teatorials on our website. Using the reservations tab, make a date and time selection, and conveniently purchase your tickets through your PayPal account or as a PayPal guest. For Weekday Afternoon Tea reservations, please call 630.963.9130.
Be sure to register and pay for Teatorials one week in advance to help ensure it will be held as scheduled. Your registration is a commitment to attend, and fees are non-refundable. A minimum of four guests is required (not four in your party) in order to offer Teatorials and cancellations must be made at least five days prior to receiving credit for a future event, no exceptions. If you are unable to meet the cancellation deadline, you are welcome to send someone in your place. If Pinecone Cottage cancels the Teatorial, you will receive a full refund.
