French Cooking Holiday Afternoon Tea

When my husband, Paul, and I travel, we love taking cooking and baking courses. During our recent visit to the Bordeaux region of France, we had the pleasure of attending Le Gargantua Cooking School in Anzex, a charming rural area. We spent a wonderful day with Chef Marlene, who welcomed us with genuine warmth and care. Our day began with delightful homemade chocolate croissants, followed by a visit to a lovely local market where we sourced ingredients for our culinary preparations. Marlene prepared a scrumptious lunch that featured the best Quiche Lorraine I’ve ever tasted. We spent the afternoon cooking together and concluded our day with a fabulous meal that we all created. This menu reflects my take on one of the most unforgettable days spent with Marlene and her family in their beautiful French farmhouse!

Pinecone Cottage is now taking reservations for Weekend Afternoon Tea and Teatorials on our website. Using the reservations tab, make a date and time selection, and conveniently purchase your tickets through your PayPal account or as a PayPal guest. For Weekday Afternoon Tea reservations, please call 630.963.9130.
Be sure to register and pay for Teatorials one week in advance to help ensure it will be held as scheduled. Your registration is a commitment to attend, and fees are non-refundable. A minimum of four guests is required (not four in your party) in order to offer Teatorials and cancellations must be made at least five days prior to receiving credit for a future event, no exceptions. If you are unable to meet the cancellation deadline, you are welcome to send someone in your place. If Pinecone Cottage cancels the Teatorial, you will receive a full refund.
